Produced in Colombia, this delicious Solera rum from Dictador, aged for between 8 and 14 years, with an average age of 12 years. The rum is diluted to bottling strength with demineralised water which is added in drops over a period of 28 days.
Freshly roasted coffee beans, creamy vanilla, caramel and manuka honey.
Those manuka honey notes form the core, with notes of allspice, toasted oak and vanilla.
Creamy finish, with hints of salt caramel.

After finishing a bottle of Ron Jeremy Gold, I moved onto this. Wow! What a kick, the strength of flavour was intense but after a few glasses with a mixer, I have to say that this is amazing.
I had it in a cosy rum cafe in Vilnius. It fitted perfectly for a rather chilly evening. The smell is amazing and the taste is delicate and smooth. Even my friend who doesn't really like strong drinks ordered a glass. I am definitely getting a bottle for winter.
First had this in January as part of a taster set from my youngest son who knows his dad misses his "tot" from navy days. Had to buy a bottle and wife and I like this neat over ice, a lovely dram ( apologies jockland). If you want rum & coke get a supermarket rum, don`t ruin this great tipple. Not all great rums are Carribean, the Royal Navy issued us with South African rum in the `60s,that was why it was best 1&1 water/rum.
Just bought this for a friend, in a lovely presentation box and looks perfect. Hopefully I will get to taste it at some point.
Very nice presented and delicious rum, always catches the eye.
