Captain Morgan White is a classic Caribbean rum that works splendidly in cocktails and mixed drinks. Captain-and-Coke is a tasty combination enjoyed in bars and pubs the world over.
Nit normally a white rum drinker but this is lively. Sweeter than other brands and having a sweet tooth it's right up my street. Such a shame it's not available in many supermarkets or bars.
I've had Captain Morgan's White many times whilst in the USA, and it has always made one of the best classic daiquiris. It presents a very distinct and notable palate that is always surprisingly high in quality despite the price. This, however, is not that same product. When it became available in the UK, the ABV, the aroma, and the taste was entirely different to that sold in the USA. Captain Morgan's has clearly just bottled a different and inferior rum blend entirely for the European market.
