Brugal Anejo is a 5 year old Dominican rum. The company was founded by Andrés Brugal Montaner. The majority of the board members are actually descendants of Montaner.
The nose is full of caramel and dark brown sugar, buttery toffee and a little spice with pepper and vanilla. The palate is smooth and rich and rather dry with buttery spice notes and dark sugar, a little oak. The finish is of good length with dark sugar.
Been to Dom Rep 3 times and stayed next to the factory in Puerto Plata. Such a smooth rum love it. Brought 7 bottles home the first time, they were $3 a bottle. Like love brugal says" it tastes so good it doesnt last long".

Never was a rum drinker until our vacation to Puerto Plata, went to the distillery, drank a whole bunch while there and brought alot home. Went back again this year, two years in a row, but this time to Punta Cana, drank alot again and brought more home. Tastes great and goes down so good it doesnt last long. Glad to know I can get it here in the states. Love it!!
