This spiced rum produced as part of the Bombo 40 range has been flavoured with lip-smacking notes of caramel and banana. Suitable for sipping neat, with caramel and banana elements complementing the rich rum at the core. The skull on the label looks pretty fierce, like it controls an army of skeletons with leather helmets and iron daggers.

Really sweet like a harsh tasting syrup
I was very much looking forward to this as a little after-dinner tipple to have neat, based on the tasting notes and glowing reviews. I think I must be drinking something different. There is no rum flavour. There is a slight note of caramel and a very, very faint whisper of banana on the finish, but I don't get any of the other listed flavours. This rum is overwhelmed by the flavour of treacle, molasses. It smacks you right in the mouth and runs roughshod over the other flavours, trampling them into the dust. What a shame. A hint would have been lovely, but this is far, far too much for me, it's much too far out of balance. I'm sure I can find a use for it in baking or perhaps sparingly as a mixer, but for me, it's not the neat after-dinner treat I was looking for.
I just bought this rum, curious about the tastes of caramel and banana. Oh my goodness, this rum is absolutely fantastic. Smooth like no other rm I have had before, and the taste of the banana , and the hint of caramel combined certainly make this a must have rum for your liquor cabinet. My partner and I especially enjoy it over ice , mixed with coke. If you are looking for something new and interesting, definitely try this.
This is mine and my husbands favourite rum by Miles, it has just the right amount of sweetness and flavour great with any mixer so far, very versatile good for summer bbq or cosy winter snuggles
The best flavoured rum i've tasted so far. Very moreish. Nice added to a black coffee too as a warmer
