A marvellous 8 year old rum from the Bacardi range, more than suitable for sipping neat, but also incredibly good for using in cocktails and mixed drinks.
The nose is fresh and perfumed with notes of oak and peels, a little syrup with a fennel note. The palate is sweet and rich with tropical fruits, peels and winter spice. The finish is gentle and luscious.

Great as a sipper and as a mixer. I avoided trying Bacardi 8 due to reading mixed reviews. This is a solid 9/10 rum for me.

It might not be quite as good as an El Dorado 12, Appleton Estate 12 or Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva, but it's around £10 cheaper so for under £30 this is a great buy! Fantastic in an Old Fashioned. This has become my new day to day rum.
This rum meets bare minimum requirements for sipping, but only just. I would mix this rum, but would rather mix less expensive rums that are just as good when mixed. For sipping, in this price range, I'd go for an El Dorado 12 (which I believe to be superior to their 15)
