A sure-fire hit from Ableforth's, Rumbullion! is a cockle-warming spiced concoction, based on the kind of rich, full-bodied rums the seafaring fraternity would have enjoyed centuries ago.
At the core of this fabulous winter warmer lies a blend of the very finest high proof Caribbean rum, to which was added creamy Madagascan vanilla and a generous helping of zesty orange peel. A secret recipe was followed, finished with a handful of cassia and cloves and just a hint of cardamom.
Rumbullion! proudly flaunts its maritime inspiration with a label that bears a hand-drawn illustration of a Navy grog tub, and just like all of the fine spirits in the Ableforth's arsenal, each bottle is wrapped in brown paper, wound with twine and sealed with black wax.
Enjoy it neat, or with ice and squeeze of fresh lime.
We reckon Rumbullion is one of our Best Rums under £40!
A fabulously decadent nose of intense, sweet vanilla and flamed orange zest. The cardamom makes itself known by offering up an evocative suggestion of old-fashioned cola, and to this the cloves bring out a deep, dark complexity. Yet more sweetness with cinnamon, which melds beautifully with essential oil notes of Seville orange peel.
At once a fabulous mix of thick cut bitter orange marmalade and tingling, zinging spices. Hints of Manuka honey and mouth-watering cinnamon form its heart, with molasses, candy floss, toffee apples, crème brûlée and clove-studded oranges.
A long finish, with tongue-prickling spices, and a stunning degree of freshness as cinnamon, orange and creamy, sweet vanilla notes coat the palate for minutes.
Rich and profoundly intense, this is a rum to see you through the coldest months.

Absolutely delightful spiced rum! The vanilla is strong but not overpowering and the orange compliments the other flavours well. Neat or neat over ice all the flavours work well together to make for a very smooth enjoyable drink with next to no bite. Mixed with a two parts cola one part rum ratio the vanilla is the dominant flavour losing some of the subtle spiced undertones. Fentimans Curiosity Cola is a fantastic mixer for this rum.
Its the best rum ever! Pure quality, lovely
Got a 20cl bottle of this with my 6 month Rum Club package, and it's been everywhere at the moment, including on TV here in the UK which is no mean feat for a spirit. On the nose its warm and spiced, predominantly cinnamon and vanilla. Drinking it straight, there's almost no alcohol bite for me, despite it being a higher proof than most spiced rums. The flavourings shine through but not overpowering, you can still tell its definitely rum. With coke, this changes. It becomes nothing but vanilla - a huge shame given the other nice flavours going on in it. My suggestion: drink it neat, or with ice. If you're going to go with a mixer then maybe ginger ale to complement the warmer spicy notes.
Smell: warm and spicy. With sweet overtones. Very pleasant. Neat: nice spicy overtones. Very smooth, nice aftertaste. With coke: sweet overtones, easy to drink, warming. A lovely spiced rum!
Delicious!!!!!
