Niepoort's excellence with regard to vintage Ports, is well known and for some years now the winery has also been making wines considered among the most remarkable of the legendary Douro region.

Its range of aged tawny ports are matured in old oak casks with a capacity of 550 litres in their cellars at Vila Nova de Gaia, and use the grape varieties: Tinta Amarela, Tinto Cão, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Francisca, and Sousão.
