Churchill’s Crusted Port is carefully blended from vintage Ports of two different years, which are then aged in oak casks for 2 to 3 years, before it’s moved into seasoned oak casks for the final 6 months. It's then bottled unfiltered into dark Port bottles, with the year on the label on the bottling.
The variety of grapes, including, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional are sourced from old vineyards on Churchill’s estates, Quinta da Gricha and Quinta do Rio in the Cima Corgo sub-region of the Douro Wine Region.
