Sin Gusano Tepextate - Amatlán (47.2%) 50cl

Distilled in Amatlán, southern Oaxaca by master mezcalero Nicolas Garcia Gutierrez and bottled by Sin Gusano, this is an extraordinary mezcal made with the rare tepextate agave. While efforts to cultivate tepextate are underway, the plants take a long time to mature and in the meantime, thanks to an arrangement with a neighbouring community, Gutierrez is able to sustainably harvest wild plants in return for half of each finished batch of spirit.
