
A slightly higher ABV batch of the second limited edition Joven (unaged) mezcal from Corte Vetusto and fourth generation 'master mezcalero' Juan Carlos Gonzalez Diaz. The brand employs an artisanal method of production beginning by cooking maguey agave in conical earth ovens, which is then milled using volcanic stone. Once the agave is fermented naturally, it is first distilled in a 250L copper still, then distilled again in an ancestral 70L clay pot still.
Fresh citrus, earthy smoke, and green olives lead, with roasted agave and toffee underneath.
Black peppercorn prickles through vanilla, garden herbs, and caramel.
Strong minerality and earthy vegetal notes linger.
