Modern Mead Co.'s Original English Mead is made from a tip-top secret blend of honeys, putting its own contemporary twist on traditional spiced mead while still taking inspiration from ancient recipes. The brand was created by Samuel Boulton, who crafted the UK's first mead-based cocktail menu at The Vanguard in Birmingham, so you can be sure he knows what he's doing! If you don't fancy it neat, try it in a Meadmosa, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like; mead, a splash of fizz and a dash of orange juice.
Orange oil, orange peel and lemon zest, with heather honey and aromatic clove and nutmeg lingering on the finish.
Just polished a bottle of this. It IS good mead. However it is in a style ery different from most other meads on the market. Highly recommended.
