Here we have a traditionally styled mead, a time-honoured tipple which dates back hundreds if not thousands of years, from Lyme Bay Winery in Devon. It’s made in small batches with honey, and bottled at 14.5% ABV. A fab pairing with cheeses.
Full of sweet dessert wine flavours, with a refreshing dryness and full of warming, rich honey, with a hint of honeycomb on the finish.

Dear friends, my daughter traveled to the UK. She visited Stonehenge and brough me back a bottle of the Stonehenge Mead. I saved it until today(8/21/2017). My friends and I opened during the Total Eclipse here in Oregon USA. We toasted to our families and our ancestors. I have to tell you, everyone thought your mead was amazing. Hands down the best have I every drank. Thank you for this wonderful mead! DAVE- Olympia WA USA
I tried this for the first time recently at a local re-enactment in Dagenham, and I can honestly say I'm glad I did, my only regret was not buying a bottle to take home!
As a mead drinker, this tasted like nothing I've ever had before. A mixture of honey, wood, vinous qualities, and some kind of spice mix. It honestly reminded a lot like a white wine I had that had a similar flavor, and both were delicious. I'll buy another bottle when I order again from this website.
I bought my first bottle of this not too long ago, before it was even finished I ordered another. It has such a beautiful taste, I fully understand why our ancestors called it the 'nectar or the Gods'
I tried all the meads from the winery at the Reading beer festival (well, it was only polite) and this one was my favourite. Don't be put off by the description, its only a tiniest hint of ginger that just adds complexity to the honey flavour - there's not lashings of the stuff in it!
