This is a higher strength version of the classic Southern Comfort liqueur, perfect for enjoying over ice or in a mixed drink.
Creamy vanilla and fresh peach. A light kick of spice comes from the bumped-up ABV, joined by a touch of lime zest.
This is not the regular smooth, sweet 37% Southern Comfort with extra whiskey kick. I don't know if the recipe is slightly different or if it's simply down to the 50% alcohol content, but the 100 Proof is lacking much of that slightly medicinal taste of the regular SC, and in its place is (unsurprisingly) more warmth and kick but also more grain whiskey hints and spice flavours. It's also incredibly smooth for 50% by volume, meaning it can be drank with just ice or even neat (if you're brave).
Just pour on ice, perfect!!
Very nice but leaves me with a right headache in the morning, will stick to the normal one in future
