Maison Fontaine
Lutèce is a French apéritif made by macerating real plants and herbs separately in neutral grain spirits, such as whole lemons, gentian root, pink peppercorn, laurel, linden flower, coriander and fennel seed. These are then redistilled, assembled and proofed down. The packaging is 100% recyclable. Serve with good tonic water and garnish with a lemon & bay leaf.

This unusual aperitif has a strong floral note of the muskier sort (think lavender or narcissus) that gives it a slight drinking-aftershave vibe if taken straight. BUT! Poured over some fizz, it makes a really pleasing, complex, and far less sweet spritz compared to the familiar bittersweet favourites. Floral, peppery, leaning towards savoury, but with enough fruit to make it refreshing. Recommended to anyone who's feeling Aperoled-out.
