Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve

Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is built around a core of single malt whisky from Clynelish, but also features spirit from the likes of Cardhu, Blair Athol, and grain whisky from Cameronbridge, all chosen for their sweet, honeyed qualities. It’s delicious neat but also mixes well in all manner of cocktails.

Tasting Notes

The nose opens with honey and heather, thick caramel notes, and a subtle nutmeg spice before dried meadow flowers and a hint of fresh banana arrive. On the palate, smooth, succulent waves of honeyed sweetness, with prominent floral elements, sweet spice, and vanilla, leading to a rich, sweet, toffee-like finish.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label

Blue Label is drawn from unparalleled reserves of maturing malt and grain whiskies from across four regions (Highland, Lowland, Speyside, and Islay), including ghost distilleries that Johnnie Walker has privileged access to. This is the ultimate whisky for a special gift, with a flavour profile that’s a beautiful balance of rich, slightly smoky, and fruity elements.

Tasting Notes

There's fragrant oak and crisp spice on the nose, with layers of dried fruit, pastry, citrus, then hints of aniseed and cedar. To sip, it's superbly supple and balanced with generous notes of toffee and wistful smoke, joined by chocolate, hints of grass, and a good hit of malt. Things are floral and oaky on the finish, urged on by a plume of very well-kept, highland-style smoke, dried fruit, spice, and honey.

Johnnie Walker Green Label 15 Year Old

The Green Label is considered a bit of a hidden gem, a rich and robust blended malt whisky, made with single malts from across Scotland and aged for at least 15 years. It's hugely characterful, with bold oak and chocolatey malt, earthy nuts, and a hearty helping of Islay peat.

Tasting Notes

The nose is quite rich and full. There are notes of mochaccino and espresso coffee, wood smoke and a fireplace, a touch of bitter chocolate and oak. The palate is of medium-body with notes of crisp cereals, coffee beans and chocolate, a date note with a touch of walnut. The finish is quite long and spicy with honeyed sweetness and oak.
