Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Infinita
Infinita: an endless array of aromas?
Whisky maker Bill Lumsden is known for his imaginative approach which has led Highland distillery Glenmorangie to produce whiskies which express all kinds of aromas and flavours. Infinita was made to embody them all and showcase the innovative way that Glenmo makes single malt Scotch whisky.
Glenmorangie 18 Year Old The Infinita
Infinita was initially matured in American white oak bourbon barrels, before a portion was moved to oloroso sherry barrels for further years of maturation. The remaining portion continued its aging in the bourbon barrels, before the two were married together again after completing the 18-year maturation process. The single malt was then bottled at 43% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Nose:
Honey, flamed orange peel, jasmine, and bonfire smoke.
Palate:
Citrus blossom, caramel, dried fruit, and oak char.
Finish:
Marmalade and figs.
