An Ode To Flavour

Glendronach The Master’s Anthology

Glendronach has dropped something special: a three-part series of richly sherried single malts.

A new look. A deeper dive. A bold trilogy of drams.

Glendronach has always done things its own way – slow fermentation, long maturation, and a deep commitment to sherry casks. Now, with The Master’s Anthology, it's taken that legacy and dialled it up.

Each expression – Ode to the Valley, Ode to the Embers, and Ode to the Dark – explores a distinct mood, all while staying rooted in that unmistakable Glendronach style.

Each one is a flavour-forward tribute to a different facet of the Highland distillery. Crafted by master blender Dr Rachel Barrie, The Master’s Anthology invites you to experience Glendronach in full voice, from sun-dappled valleys to smoky firelight and into full-blown gothic splendour.

Whether it’s the gentle romance of the valley, the mystery of peat, or the seductive pull of the dark, each whisky is Glendronach unbound – and it’s utterly glorious.

The Glendronach - Ode to the Valley

Light, bright, and floral, this is Glendronach at its most elegant. Matured in a mix of Port and sherry casks, it leads with juicy berries, wildflower honey, and a touch of toasted oak. A dram for golden hours and long, lazy sunsets.

“Ode to the Valley sings of an abundance of ripe fruit, it is the landscape of The Glendronach Distillery in full glory”

Tasting Notes:

NOSE

Fragrant and fresh – wild strawberries, raspberry compote, and floral meadow notes. A gentle touch of oak and spice hums underneath.

TASTE

Bursting wih bramble jam and redcurrants, followed by ripe orchard fruit and a swirl of vanilla cream. Hints of rosewater and heather honey add a delicate floral lift.

FINISH

Lingering and elegant, with soft tannins, dried cranberry, and a little citrus zest to keep things bright.

The Glendronach - Ode to the Embers

Yes, it’s a peated Glendronach and yes, it absolutely works. Smoky and spicy with classic sherry cask richness (thanks to oloroso and Pedro Ximénez), it’s full of depth, drama, and late-night campfire energy.

“Ode to the Embers cloaks warm and ich spice in smouldering wisps of smoke, speaking of the days of old at  The Glendronach Distillery”

Tasting Notes:

NOSE

Sweet notes of spiced fudge, candied nuts, cinnamon biscuits, and hints of marmalade, with gentle smoke in tow.

TASTE

Layers of sherried fruit, cooked apples, raisins, and honeyed nuts, with waves of delicate peat and earthy oak.

FINISH

Dark berries, smoked liquorice, cocoa, a touch of ginger.

The Glendronach - Ode to the Dark

Pure PX power. This one leans into the decadent side of Glendronach – think dark chocolate, black cherry, sticky dates, and espresso. Rich, unctuous, and downright seductive. The ultimate nightcap.

“Ode to the Dark enrobes velvet chocolate over dark plum and black cherry, caramelised dates and coffee, to back The Glendronach in rich splendour”
