Three bold single malts, one distillery, and a whole lot of sherry-soaked splendour.

Glendronach has unveiled its latest opus: The Master’s Anthology – a trio of Highland single malts curated by master blender Dr Rachel Barrie that explore the depths of its sherry-soaked soul

And yes, they’ve ditched the age statements – but they’ve kept all the richness, complexity, and brooding elegance we’ve come to expect from one of the Scotch whisky’s most beloved names.

There’s three whiskies: Ode to the Valley, Ode to the Embers, and Ode to the Dark.

The three-part harmony

Ode to The Valley
This one’s all about ripe fruit and fragrant florals, the distillery in full summer bloom. Matured in Port and sherry casks, it brings bright berry notes and a nectar-like sweetness. Think wildflowers on the breeze and jam on toast, but classier.

Ode to The Embers
A rare peated Glendronach? Go on, then. This smoky dram layers smouldering peat over dark spice and sherry cask depth – matured in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. It’s the old Valley of Forgue reimagined, full of history, mystery, and that campfire-after-midnight energy.

Ode to The Dark
This is Glendronach in full gothic splendour. Matured solely in PX casks, it delivers chocolate, black cherry, dates, and a hint of bitter coffee. It’s the dram that turns the lights low and the volume up – a proper nightcap whisky.

Barrie calls each whisky “A new composition where we amplify notes but we keep the rich harmony.”

She explains: “Ode to the Valley sings of ripe fruit, Ode to the Embers cloaks spice in smoke, and Ode to the Dark enrobes chocolate over black cherry and caramelised dates.”

If you weren’t already sold, there’s also the new look. GlenDronach had a bit of a glow-up earlier this year with a packaging refresh and a new creative campaign shot by Scottish photographer Rankin – moody visuals, Highland soul, the lot.

The Last Drop: Glendronach The Master’s Anthology

The Glendronach Master’s Anthology is a three-part tribute to the distillery’s near-200-year love affair with sherry cask maturation.

Expect ripe fruit, smoky depth, and velvet darkness – all blended with signature Glendronach intensity. No age statements. No nonsense. Just three bold odes to flavour, history, and Highland charm.
