While the original Whitley Neill Gin is inspired by the exotic flavours of Africa, their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin variation takes inspiration from closer to the Whitley family's homestead.
Enjoyably fruity on the nose, with rhubarb preserve and baked apple. Hints of leafy herbs grow in the background.
Orange, ginger and coriander arrive on the palate, though it's still dominated by rhubarb. A core of earthy juniper builds.
A tangy touch of tartness appears later on, balanced by black pepper and gingerbread.

Loved it with ginger ale plenty of ice and slices of lemon, never expected to enjoy this

One of the worst things I've ever tasted. Like a cheap synthetic penny sweet flavouring dunked in neutral spirit. Such as shame as original Whitley Neill is great. Calling this gin is a stretch.
A hideous, overly chemical, synthetic mess with a saccharin and persistent taste that is the offspring of Calpol children’s cough syrup mixed with IrnBru. While I enjoy a large collection of gins, it’s been a while since I felt moved to write a review. I’m doing so as this is the first gin that everyone in our household has refused to drink. I adore a good gin and there are many beauties out there. This, sadly is utterly undrinkable.
Really lovely flavour... with an after glow
