This is a very interesting London Dry Gin which is made to a recipe discovered by a Lieutenant Colonel Fox in 1859. The Colonel was a celebrated war hero, and today his name lives on in the form of this fabulous gin, flavoured with juniper, coriander, angelica, cassia, liquorice and bitter orange peel.
Rich, crisp nose of juniper and mixed herbs. A little tropical fruit, aniseed and banana (oddly!).
Tangy, earthy palate entry with oily juniper, allspice and star anise. A touch of ginger.
Herbal finish with angelica and citrus.
A very unusual little gin!

I was just after something cheap to have as a G&T (I tend to drink the good stuff neat) and this did a good job. Nothing complex about it but works well if you are using a mixer.
Gin, with a Fox on the label, it doesn't get much better than this. Makes the perfect G&T
