Silent Pool Gin is produced on the Albury Estate in the Surrey Hills, right next to the Silent Pool, a beautiful, mysterious spring-fed lake - what a place to create a gin! The gin itself features 24 botanicals, including makrut lime, chamomile, local honey and lavender, among others, resulting in a subtly sweet though intricately-balanced tipple.
Violet, lavender and lime leaf bring floral aromatics to the nose, while cardamom and juniper give it a spicy edge.
Elderflower, chamomile and a waft of orange blossom. Warming honey sweetness and a spark of black pepper.
Vanilla-rich honey notes last on the finish.

I would not describe myself as a connoisseur, that said I have tried a fair few of the better Gins out there, Hendricks, Sipsmith, Tanqueray, Gordons, Botanist etc. This is really smooth, floral, enough but not over powering. And the bottle is lovely, now a flower vase, a bottle makes no difference to the flavour but makes the experience just feel that bit more special. And I am biased but as a Surrey Hills resident there is something special about drinking a local gin, I know the Silent Pool and its a stunning area.
The wife and I like this neat over ice, lovely tasting gin,now tried 15 different ones from this site. This is up there with Monkey 47 in our opinion. No need to adulterate it with tonic save that for Gordons. We always try a new gin neat, if it is not up to standard I can always use it for base to Sloe Gin.
This has got to be one of the best gins on the market and is growing in popularity. The beautiful bottle design is made up of illustrations of all of the botanicals and the figures from the story of the Silent Pool. This gin deserves good tonic (Fever-tree Mediterranean if you can get it) and, as mentioned in other reviews, a slice of orange! It will probably be the best G+T you'll ever have.
Love this - it narrowly beats Sipsmith as my favourite gin. I prefer it with a slice of lime, though I met one of the team at the local farmer's market who insisted orange peel was the way to go as an addition.
Just had my first taste of this Gin it won't be my last.
