The first pink expression from Shortcross Gin, distilled at Rademon Estate (said to be Northern Ireland's first craft distillery). Rosie’s Garden Gin was inspired by the founder's mother, an avid gardener of fruits and herbs in her 18th century garden. You can see where we're going with this... Wild raspberries and strawberries from the garden are infused into the gin alongside lavender and camomile. Super refreshing with tonic and a sprig of fresh mint to balance those wonderful fruity notes.
Initially earthy juniper, building into sweet and vibrant fresh summer berries, with a floral bouquet lingering on the finish.
Coming from NI, we love giving people gifts from independent companies from our homeland. This gin was so lovely though, that we ended up buying a bottle for ourselves after we’d tried it. MoM was great to order from, from start to finish. Delivery arrived very well packaged and we were kept informed of where it was. It was also great to order from a company that is founder owned.
I’m a huge fan of Shortcross gin, but I don’t like flavoured gins as normally too sweet and not to my taste. However, this is utterly fabulous. Had a free sample at Belfast Airport when purchasing other shortcross gins and I was totally smitten. I enjoyed it on many a balmy summers evening this year, but just last weekend I took it out again and I ended up finishing the bottle. Thankfully another arrived yesterday. A definite keeper in my collection.
Have been quietly enjoying this sugar free pink gin for months and its simply superb especially when served with Sicilian lemonade. If you've tired from the sugar hit of other pink gins then try this!
Excellent dry style pink gin ie not overly sweet and still tasting of juniper. Thoroughly enjoyed this while in Belfast and will be adding permanently to our gin collection.
My new favourite pink gin - bravo !!!
