The superbly packaged Monkey 47 Sloe gin is a peppery, tangy, complex spirit made by macerating Black Forest sloes in spirit for three months.
Very aromatic and complex nose. Huge fruit notes and quite a good deal of juniper too.
A mix of earthy, tangy juniper with rich, sweet red berries. Very refined and balanced. Hints of almond.
Nutty, tart finish.

Whilst we love and regularly enjoy Monkey 47 Dry Gin. This Sloe Gin lacks depth and Taste. Works when mixed in cocktails or long drinks. But as sipping Gin or Hipflask companion it lacks teeth. I think Monkey 47 would do well to beef this up, by perhaps adding some Mulberry or Damson to it. Or as an addition their range.
