An excellent gin from Japan's legendary House of Suntory - Roku Gin. This expression is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals that provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.
Earthy and vegetal, with a light whisper of fruity sweetness hiding underneath. Peppery notes develop on the finish.
Cherry blossom and green tea provide a floral and sweet aroma.
Complex, multi layered, yet harmonious flavour of various botanicals. Traditional gin taste in the base, plus characteristic Japanese botanical notes with yuzu as the top note. Smooth and silky texture.
The crisp Japanese sansho pepper brings a little spiciness to the finish.

Also bought on a whim much like another reviewer. I can say that for a Gin with such a complex flavour profile it is very drinkable. Strong citrus notes. Doesn't feel overly complicated, and perfect for a sunny afternoon.
Tried for first time. As a mixer used a "Japanese" tonic water (available in UK) . A really excellent effort by Suntory, strong citrus on initial taste (Yuzu) and a lovely refreshing peppery finish. Could be a "go to" gin for mixing, but will of course need to do a lot more taste testing
Bought this on a whim at Birmingham airport (duty free). I don’t usually drink straight gins, normally opting for a compound gin like Bathtub or a strong peppery flavour like Pink Pepper. However, I wish I could get hold of this in the UK as it is fantastic. I still prefer the aforementioned but I have to say it is better than most gins you can buy, even (dare I say it) Silent Pool which is my wife’s personal favourite (I love it too). Try it at least - I doubt you’ll regret it.
