An excellent gin from Japan's legendary House of Suntory - Roku Gin. This expression is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals that provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. These include sakura leaf and sakura flower for spring, sencha tea and gyokuro tea for summer, sansho pepper for autumn and yuzu peel for winter. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.
Earthy and vegetal, with a light whisper of fruity sweetness hiding underneath. Peppery notes develop on the finish.
Cherry blossom and green tea provide a floral and sweet aroma.
Complex, multi layered, yet harmonious flavour of various botanicals. Traditional gin taste in the base, plus characteristic Japanese botanical notes with yuzu as the top note. Smooth and silky texture.
The crisp Japanese sansho pepper brings a little spiciness to the finish.

Just tasted this for the first time, what a flavour explosion! Absolutely full of fresh zinginess and with a beautifully dry and peppery finish just inviting you back for another sip. My new favourite by a country mile.
I have enjoyed many gins, Hendricks, blue sapphire, Gilbert’s,Tanqueray to name a few but when I was introduced to Roku my palate woke up. This gin is full of botanicals, has a fresh clean taste and I can even, if I want to have it straight. I have one bottle left which I am keeping for later while finishing up all the other gins.
Best gin we have ever had. Makes other top brands lot second rate!
Simply superb from the magnificent Suntory company. A very pleasant surprise on the pallet.
I was drinking Bombay Sapphire but I've been to Japan and I wanted to taste how they interpret gin. It is smooth and wonderful! It's infused with Japanese botanicals, and doesn't have a strong juniper flavor, which was the element that I didn't care for in gin. I'm not a martini drinker, but this is delicious in limeade, Limonata or tonic. I just bought our third bottle.
