A spicy gin with a citrus tone, Ricks Dry Gin was distilled according to an old Dutch recipe with 17 different botanicals, including allspice, cardamom, cinnamon, coriander seeds, ginger root, juniper, lavender, lemon, orange blossom, orange peel and rhubarb root.
These ingredients were macerated in a neutral grain spirit and water mixture inside a pot still for several days, before the small-batch distillation took place in a 300-litre copper kettle.
Fresh grassy citrus notes and botanical sweetness leads, with prickles of ginger and black pepper coming through after. A subtle touch of cardamom and a sour element linger underneath.
