What deliciousness do you like to treat yourself to while sat around a campfire? Marshmallows? Sausages? Beans?! Heavens, no! The obvious answer here is gin - Campfire Gin, in particular! Made at the Puddingstone distillery in Hertfordshire by Ben and Kate Marston (and their stills Isabella and Amelia), Campfire Gin features a selection of botanicals including the likes of grapefruit, orange, golden berry, rooibos, roasted hazelnut and more, with a creamy wheat spirit to carry these flavours.
Oily juniper with a subtly savoury edge from the roasted hazelnut. Slowly developing tangy notes of fresh citrus. A crackle of black pepper and toasted lavender.
A spectacular gin that manages to balance a classic juniper forward style with contemporary botanicals. Based on the distillers website I tried their Worlds Best Martini winning recipe and it's fab. TBH it's fab in any martini, a G&T and Negroni. Looking forward to trying more of the range
Personally loved this Gin and can't understand the 3 star review from someone who supports local but choses not to buy from the distillery. Enjoying in many martinis after seeing that this London Dry won the 2019 Worlds Best Martini Challenge. Wo
Received as a present for Christmas. The marketing appealed to my camping nature. After a long wait due to pregnancy we finally tried it and we’re underwhelmed. No campfire notes to speak of, a distinctly average gin, sipping is harsh and no flavours dominate or are left lingering on the palate. I’ll not rush out and buy another bottle, I mean I am all for locally sourced stuff but for a 50cl bottle for the price of two at a reputable drinks retailer, no thanks.
A really beautiful gin.Bought for me as a lovely lockdown surprise gift and I am pretty much drinking it neat as it is so tasty.Great presentation and speedy delivery.
Purchased this after discovering it won the Worlds Best Martini Challenge in 2019. Being a martini lover I'm always keen to see if it would stand up to the hype and it does. A very complex, rounded gin. Hat's off to the team behind this great gin
