A cask-aged edition of Bluecoat American Dry Gin from Philadelphia Distilling! They take their gin, made with earthy juniper, American citrus, coriander seed and angelica root, then leave it to age for at least 3 months in American oak barrels, bringing a wealth of creamy caramel and vanilla notes to its refreshing flavour profile.
Lots of caramel and butterscotch to this one. Woody juniper just manages to peek through.
Similar to the nose, there's a lot of the barrel's influence here, though a touch of orange and lemon does make itself heard.
Long and quite floral.
A fine example of cask aged gin.
I don’t profess to be an expert on flavours, however this is an amazing drink and it is what you want it to be, just enjoy the creation and try it.
It has been a while since I enjoyed my last bottle of this magical liquid, so actually I need to buy another bottle….it is a fabulous taste sensation.
Absolutely one of the best gins I have tasted. I am partial to an oak aged gin but this really is good. With plain tonic and no additions. I'm hooked!
My first foray into barrel aged gin and what a revelation. If you want something a little more grown up & complex tasting compared to the fashionable overly sweet & fruity gins then try this. Slight caramel flavour and more warm notes reminiscent of a whisky, whilst still clearly a gin. Great value for the flavour you’re getting too! Gutted they are now sold out on here...
My first cask gin, and wow. Always used to be a whisky man but started on gin a good few years ago. The nose could fool you into thinking it is a bourbon. Taste is so smooth, vanilla, sumptuous. May need to stock up at the current price!
