The Bluecoat American Dry distilled in a traditional copper pot still and is named after the uniforms worn by the militia in the American Revolution. The botanical recipe is kept secret however the style is a classic dry gin.
Pine needles, juniper and a blast of citrus open up this dry gin.
The juniper becomes more concentrated and the citrus element opens up into orange blossom and sherbet lemon.
The finish is sweet with a final hit of zesty citrus fruit.
A wonderful dry gin with refreshing citrus notes.
Great when opened out with tonic, but straight or a (dry) Martini comes across as too aggressive in the pine department.
Too strong and bland... it has a nice palate and won’t take that away from it but the strength takes away the flavour
I think it is absolutely fucking gorgeous. V difficult to get in the uk
Excellent martini gin: deadly smooth, with a bright citrus entry followed by the juniper. Consistent quality from a craft distiller that has done well and scaled up.
I really like this gin. I tend to drink in cocktail or neat (aka Martinis) and I find this product stands up really well in either. Delicious ice cold with a piece of orange peel. Top class stuff.
