A London Dry Gin made with botanicals from along the traditional spice route that led back to the UK. Indonesian Cubeb berries, Indian black pepper and Moroccan coriander are all used in this gin, launched by Quintessential Brands in 2013.
Coriander and citrus, gentle juniper and peppery notes.
More discernible spiciness and juniper with plenty of coriander.
Refreshing with citrus and spice.
A handsome gin that's playfully spiced.
I’m a huge fan of the gin, love the spicy taste and am always disappointed when it’s not available in bars. Various substitutes are offered ( and tried) but none can replicate the unique flavour. So it’s my gin of choice to buy, however, I have yet to crack the secret of opening it! The tight fitting cork is a nightmare to pull out, especially if you’re an older fan like me, and sticking it back in is even more difficult. I have just caught my finger closing it No chance of a screw top version?
Oh well, I really like it. Not getting the sweat taste, I get bitter oranges and cardamon, it has a strong Indian scent which I find appealing, one of my favourites.
i got this as a 50ml bottle in a gin gift set because i love gin but not gonna lie this kinda sucks </3 i agree w/ the people saying it smells like sweat and idk it kinda tastes like it too? to be fair i have that gene that makes coriander taste soapy but... i think this gin is kinda gross in general tbh i don't recommend unless you like the taste of coriander and sweat? i guess this review is a bit harsh because i'm still gonna drink it (but that's ONLY because it was a gift (and i wanna get drunk))
Pretty smooth generally. Basically tastes like what would happen if you took cardamom and steeped it in vodka. Don't get me wrong I like cardamom but not exactly what I look for in my gin.
I’m with the people who say it smells of sweat, I’m thinking of throwing it away. It must be only certain palates that find it distasteful, others seem to enjoy it which is a mystery to me. At least the bottle is pretty.
