Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is a rather intriguing Spanish gin made with an Albariño-grape-based spirit, rather than your more commonly seen grain-based spirit, along with 11 botanicals, including 6 local ones from Galicia such as eucalyptus, lemon verbena and samphire, which gives the gin a complex maritime quality. The result is a bold flavour profile that would befit summer drinks and cocktails. The bottle is quite stylish too - very impressive stuff!
Lemongrass and lavender, shortly joined by a slight hint of waxy lemon peel.
Mint leaf, black tea and more floral notes - think iris, violet and hibiscus.
Juniper makes itself heard on the finish, but for just a moment.
My favourite gin at the moment. Like an earlier reviewer wrote - its hard to describe the incredible flavour - but I love it ! Fresh and with the subtlest hint of mint perhaps...simply delicious
My favourite gin as of lately. A very unique and different smell and taste, very fresh, citrucy and floral. I could wear it as perfume. Every gulp makes you want to taste it more.
I love this gin! It is the most unique gin I have ever tasted, It's a "I can't quite get my head around it" type of gin. It has a unique flavour, you can sip it neat and it doesn't burn, It has a distinct aroma, which does not smell that strong, but oddly when going to wash the glasses a few hours later the aroma was still clinging to the empty glasses. I can not describe the aroma or the flavour, (although I could detect a hint of albarino) its Odd, weird, strange in a fabulous way, its an enigma in a glass! It's fresh like the early morning mist in Galicia, it is the mysticism of Galicia in a glass.
My wife loves the flavours
Exquisite! One can really taste the flavours coming through. A lovely finish to a supper Bank Holiday Monday!!! Cheers ?
