Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is a rather intriguing Spanish gin made with an Albariño-grape-based spirit, rather than your more commonly seen grain-based spirit, along with 11 botanicals, including 6 local ones from Galicia such as eucalyptus, lemon verbena and samphire, which gives the gin a complex maritime quality. The result is a bold flavour profile that would befit summer drinks and cocktails. The bottle is quite stylish too - very impressive stuff!
Lemongrass and lavender, shortly joined by a slight hint of waxy lemon peel.
Mint leaf, black tea and more floral notes - think iris, violet and hibiscus.
Juniper makes itself heard on the finish, but for just a moment.

I first had this at a smart restaurant, where they loftily advised that it should be mixed with lemon tonic water. It was interesting enough for my wife to buy me a bottle for Christmas, with some lemon tonic water. The first drinks were made with lemon and reminded me of what I had first tasted. Then, out of interest, I had a glass with ordinary tonic water and hey presto, the power of this gin was released. The lemon had been masking the complex and unusual flavours were released. There was no going back. Keep it simple, and enjoy this one.
I had this brought for me as a Christmas gift and wow it is amazing! Best gin I have had in a long time.
totally truly scrummyumpshush
Exquisite, delicious, a delight. Quite unique and absolutely wonderful.
You can get the best out of this gin with a leaf of basil. Know it sounds weird but try it and thank me later.
