Nordés Atlantic Galician Gin is a rather intriguing Spanish gin made with an Albariño-grape-based spirit, rather than your more commonly seen grain-based spirit, along with 11 botanicals, including 6 local ones from Galicia such as eucalyptus, lemon verbena and samphire, which gives the gin a complex maritime quality. The result is a bold flavour profile that would befit summer drinks and cocktails. The bottle is quite stylish too - very impressive stuff!
Lemongrass and lavender, shortly joined by a slight hint of waxy lemon peel.
Mint leaf, black tea and more floral notes - think iris, violet and hibiscus.
Juniper makes itself heard on the finish, but for just a moment.
Simply wonderful, since the first time I ‘discovered’ it in 2016 exploring Alicante it has been a special addition on my gin shelf. Not one to quaff, but a gin to enjoy. Bold and stunning flavours, refreshing long drink. Second only to Monkey 47 IMO ! Try it, you’ll love it
I don’t much like most flavoured gins. Too sweet and brash. But Nordes is floral, fruity but perfectly, blended, not too sweet and very natural tasting. And still definitely a gin. Smooth enough to sip neat. Marvellous in G and T with any citrus garnish.
Love, love, love this gin. It smells divine and tastes every bit as good. Our first bottle seems to have disappeared within a few days. This will certainly be bought on repeat.
One of my top 3 favourite gins. Sweet & citrusy. Delicious!
My favourite summer gin. I drink this on a hot day and when I fancy a change from Cotswold Dry. So much fruitiness but still quite dry. Great with a slice of apple and some mint
