Perry's Tot - Navy Strength Gin

Perry's Tot is an American Navy Strength gin made by the New York Distilling Company in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It was named for Matthew Calbraith Perry, a Commandant of the Brooklyn Navy Yard in the 1840s, who later achieved the prestigious rank of Commodore. As a notable New York naval figure, he was the obvious choice for the New York Distilling Company to name a Navy Strength gin after.

At 57% ABV, if this delicious American gin were to spill over some gunpowder, it would still ignite due to science. Yes, science! However, we recommend pouring it over ice or into cocktails (like a Gimlet, perhaps) rather than over gunpowder. It'll likely taste better that way.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Quite traditional and juniper led but with a creamy, syrupy natural sweetness and floral roundness, that almost certainly comes from the wild flower honey.

Palate

Big and juniper led with citrus, especially grapefruit.

Finish

Earthy orange and juniper.

Overall

Plenty of power, but packed full of flavour too! Awesome stuff.
