Masahiro
An intriguing Japanese gin from the Masahiro distillery, known for making Awamori (a type of rice-based spirit) but now exploring the glory of juniper! Alongside the aforementioned juniper, the distillers in Okinawa have used guava leaves, long pepper, roselle (a type of hibiscus), goya (a type of melon) and shekwasha (a green citrus fruit native to Okinawa and Taiwan).
Sharp fruit sweetness tempered by earthy juniper and leafy hints. Citrus blossom keeps it fresh.

Interesting but an odd aftertaste - unlike other gins I've had and this is not necessarily a good thing. This does slow one down and it definitely is drinkable as a slop sipper with tonic but I would not purchase this again.
A very distinct flavour, and nose. Has a citrus smell, and strong spirit smell. Nice flavour. Nice gin.
The strong alcohol taste will not appeal to everyone, for me it was a bit too much. You can't really taste the other spices. Will try it with a few different tonics to see if I can find something that might go with it, but at this point I can't recommend it. On a more positive note, the bottle looks great on the shelf.
