This Avontuur Edition from Knut Hansen has been on quite the journey. The original Knut Hansen Dry Gin was filled into a Cognac barrel for nine months, during which time it travelled 15,500 nautical miles to Canada and back! No wonder that 'Avontuur' is the Dutch word for 'adventure'. It was finally bottled at 44% ABV in July 2019, with just 950 bottles released.
Cooked orchard fruit leads into tobacco and raisin, dried kitchen herbs and piney juniper, menthol and oak spice.
