The Isle of Wight Distillery has created a vibrant variation of it's excellent Mermaid Gin, boasting a delightfully sweet flavour profile and rosy hue thanks to an infusion of Island strawberries! These tasty little rascals make for an intriguing juxtaposition with the botanicals already in the mix, including the subtly savoury rock samphire, the herbaceous Boadicea hops and the zesty Sicilian lemon. Smashing in a G&T garnished with strawberries.
Light and bright, the strawberry notes arrive right away, supported by citrus and slowly building juniper spice. Samphire gives is a coastal edge, while hints of liquorice root and coriander develop later on.
I was given this as a gift, it is the nicest gin I have ever tasted, will definitely buy more

Bought this from the distillery last time I was in the Isle of Wight one of my faves and really stands out in a very overcrowded market. Really smooth, great flavour and the bottle ( which is made from Italian glass)is an added bonus. Clearly the 1 star reviewer is a very jealous competitor trying to throw shade or Like other reviews have said they clearly aren’t informed enough about this gin or gin of any kind to really comment. So sashay away ?? they also make excellent vodka and rum if you like something different
My daughter bought me the pink version (I usually drink the 'blue' original version) for my birthday. I wasn't sure as I don't like sweet drinks... but this isn't at all sweet - it is simply scented with strawberries and still has that sea-fresh edge. I've served it with aromatic elderflower tonic over lots of ice and it's lush. And, yes, I love the bottle, too. A keeper.
I am always on the look out for lovely bottles to use as table centre pieces for our wedding business,When i found this i took Great Pleasure in polishing off 3 bottles of this, for “Research purposes” you understand. Pleasantly sipped on its own straight out the fridge or mixed with lemonade. A refreshing take on the old quench thirsting G&T
