Old Tom gin from Scotland's House of Elrick, inspired by 17th century recipes. It was "Crafted so you can create", according to the label, and Old Tom Gins are particularly wonderful in cocktails, so we reckon you're on to a winner here. Also on the label is a cat wearing a snazzy button-down shirt while doing its best Grumpy Cat impression. Such anger. Such pointy ears.
Sweet heather and Turkish delight, with light juniper earthiness helping keep the sugary notes in check.
Bright junpier on the nose but dominated by thick syrupy sweetness onthe palate. Drinks like a liquer over ice. Very quaffable with tonice but still a lingering syrup taste.
This is a very nice smooth Old Tom. Mixes beautifully with tonic. But definitely a pronounced anise flavour that I don’t see listed anywhere. I love aniseed but if you don’t this might not be the gin for you.
There is nothing in the description to suggest this is an aniseed bomb but I find it so. Lovely if you like anise. Quite sweet. Very smooth.
A really lovely Old Tom gin, very smooth …so smooth that you can drink it without anything else in it, and a joy with tonic. Probably one of the best Old Tom gins I've tried.
