Hendrick’s is something of a household name. Perhaps you've heard of it? This terrific Scottish gin is made using two different stills - the Bennett stillsteeps its botanicals overnight before distillation, while the Carter-Head has its botanicals in a basket up in the still neck, steaming them gently. It features the likes of juniper, cubeb berries, elderflower, chamomile, angelica, lemon peel, orange peel, coriander, yarrow and orris, alongside an infusion of cucumber and rose petal. If you're making a G&T with this, it just has to be garnished with a ribbon of cucumber.
Big, creamy aromas right off the bat, with a little zesty citrus, juniper, rose petal jelly and cucumber.
Astoundingly fresh notes of cucumber with juniper, oak, a touch more citrus and vanilla. Creamy and savoury.
A long, refreshing, floral finish.

Hendricks is a gin for people who don't like gin. There, I said it. Broad strokes aside, the love for this brand is genuine and clearly shows theres many that feel cucumber and rose petals belong in the same sentence as juniper and orange. I personally don't rate this gin in a G&T but can appreceate it near or with ginger ale. I don't mind Hendricks, but I despise the introduction of cucumber in bars where incompetent bartenders believe all gins should be treate as a fruit salad.
i am a gin and tonic person and by far this is the best and smoothest gin I have had will highly recommend it?
The "Ford" of the gin world. It has its place.a good "Gateway gin"--better gins are available. Lots of money behind the product. Acker score 3/5
My palate is not sophisticated enough to identify the various botanicals that go into any given gin. But I know what I like, and I don't like a miasma of perfumey flowers or an overwhelming jolt of anise in my gin. Hendrick's doesn't do anything wrong, and does everything right. My cocktail of choice is a Hendrick's Martini, mixed 12:1 with Noilly Prat vermouth, shaken vigorously, and garnished with two super giant Spanish olives. "Incredibly refreshing." I couldn't have said it better.
The great flavor that never fails to satisfy.
