Hendrick’s is something of a household name. Perhaps you've heard of it? This terrific Scottish gin is made using two different stills - the Bennett stillsteeps its botanicals overnight before distillation, while the Carter-Head has its botanicals in a basket up in the still neck, steaming them gently. It features the likes of juniper, cubeb berries, elderflower, chamomile, angelica, lemon peel, orange peel, coriander, yarrow and orris, alongside an infusion of cucumber and rose petal. If you're making a G&T with this, it just has to be garnished with a ribbon of cucumber.
Big, creamy aromas right off the bat, with a little zesty citrus, juniper, rose petal jelly and cucumber.
Astoundingly fresh notes of cucumber with juniper, oak, a touch more citrus and vanilla. Creamy and savoury.
A long, refreshing, floral finish.
Lovely and refreshing especially with a slice of cucumber. One of my favourites.
It's a nice gin, but you can get much better ones for less money.
First time I was given Hendricks I really didn't like it, the only way I'd drink this now is with cucumber, as the cucumber seems to really work well here. I find this is also expensive for what you get, which is nothing really special for me, other than the way it goes so well with cucumber.
Delicious neat. Paired with Fever tree Elderflower it makes a knockout G&T on a hot evening. While I still love plenty of London gins with regular Indian tonic, this is my favourite for summer.
I love Hendrick’s, it’s got a fresh and cooling flavour. It’s smooth and dangerously easy to drink.
