Hendrick’s is something of a household name. Perhaps you've heard of it? This terrific Scottish gin is made using two different stills - the Bennett stillsteeps its botanicals overnight before distillation, while the Carter-Head has its botanicals in a basket up in the still neck, steaming them gently. It features the likes of juniper, cubeb berries, elderflower, chamomile, angelica, lemon peel, orange peel, coriander, yarrow and orris, alongside an infusion of cucumber and rose petal. If you're making a G&T with this, it just has to be garnished with a ribbon of cucumber.
Big, creamy aromas right off the bat, with a little zesty citrus, juniper, rose petal jelly and cucumber.
Astoundingly fresh notes of cucumber with juniper, oak, a touch more citrus and vanilla. Creamy and savoury.
A long, refreshing, floral finish.

Better than London dry gin and much better than tranqueray gin, truly best sipping weekdays Gin . ....
I was not impressed with Hendricks gin.... it almost taste it like an organic gin. I like to Drink my gin straight so that I can taste it's true flavors. Any Gin can hide behind a cocktail but a really good gin can be consumed straight or mixed....versatility is key....I found that not to be the case with this Gin ....too spicy and had no character and all. If you want a great Gin to drink straight or in a cocktail try 209 Gin ...now that's a great Gin and the price is better...
Have some of you lot listened to yourselves?? Its simple, everybody has a personal taste. Some will like it, some won't. Trying to sound like a stuck up snob over a bottle of gin. I, personally, think that Hendricks is one of the most refreshing gins for a summer G&T. Not due to any 'cucumber this, prime botanical' that rubbish, but the simple fact that (a difficult concept for an opera snob to understand here!!) - It tastes good! I think that instead of trying to break things down to justify an opinion, its easier to just stick to the simple tried and tested method of...... does it taste good or not?? Hendricks does, simple!
Interesting review from marketing marketing marketing. A drink is like a holiday, its made to measure and some will like it and some will not. Your job as a host is to find the best suited drink for your customer not you. So blind testing drink is pointless and an event to get drunk and socialise. Hendricks is a fantastic Gin and we'll worth a try :)
Never been a gin drinker till I tried Hendricks with ice, a couple of slices of cucumber and a slimine tonic it is a wonderful drink my favourite just love it !
