The folks over at Healeys Cornish Cyder have been busy whipping up this Cornish Dry Gin! The gin begins its life in the same way as the cyder, though after the apples are pressed and fermented, they're distilled twice and blended with seven botanicals including lemon, orange and mace. As you'd expect, it's one crisp, fruity spirit!
Apple sweetness leads into piney juniper and crisp citrus.
Wow, if you've ever had a night drinking too much ratler and lived to regret it, this is not the gin for you. It literally tastes of rattler, so has an edge of despair and regret to it. I think I need to try it with pineapple juice, as tonic is not a natural complement... will report back.
Really love this gin, so different!
