The wide open roads of Colorado are calling - and paved with gold if we are to believe the label of That Boutique-y Gin Company's Expeditionary Gin from the Golden Moon distillery. Golden Moon owner Stephen Gould looks ready to explore those road on his very own tricked-out Wonka-Mobile, complete with a pair of stills! The gin itself was created by Gould trying to put himself in the shoes of a British gin drinker, and has been tweaked to appeal to their tastes.
Batch 1 is a release of 808 bottles.
Mouthwateringly sweet at first (quite similar to freshly-made doughnuts at a fair!). Soon you get notes of waxy lemon, fresh linen and violet petals.
Fennel is up front, leading into black liquorice and lemongrass. Touches of hot cinnamon and fragrant, floral juniper.
Liquorice Allsorts, menthol and drying allspice.
