Produced in the French region of Cognac, G'Vine is a hint as to what this unique gin contains. It's actually infused with Ugni Blanc grape, as well as some more standard botanicals including ginger root, liquorice, cardamom, cassia bark, coriander, cubeb berries, nutmeg, lime and even a bit of juniper.
Doesn't immediately smell like a gin... the grape notes are prevalent, but there are balancing notes of citrus and cardamom.
The grapes run the show here too. It's tasty with pronounced, fresh botanicals, particularly the high, citric and ginger notes. The grapes add a pleasant sweetness. It's almost like a flavoured vodka.
Very clean, very pleasant. Herbs and grassy notes with a slight mineral taste.
Almost halfway between a gin and a flavoured vodka, this is a unique spirit. We could (and probably will!) spend hours playing around with cocktail recipes using G'Vine.
Just been presented with a litre of this delicious gin by visitors from Spain - found it too floral first, but after 3/4 large G&Ts with lime I'm really addicted! Shall be ordering more from my local independent wine merchant, but can't wait for more from the duty free store when they next visit! Great bottle too - will use for flowers on garden table in Summer!
First came across this whilst on holiday in Venice and have subsequently drunk plenty more ... need I say more?!
Duty free punt after being delayed on a flight. Thank you Easyjet :) when it's done, I'll be plundering MOM stock. The gin market is saturated with great offerings. This is one to try. Give it a crack. It's well worth it.
Very similar to Nordes but tastes more of gin where as Nordes is like drinking sweet sparkling wine, not gin. Highly recommended. If you're making a gin & tonic don't be shy with the gin measure so you get a good flavour.
On holiday in San Pedro visiting friends at the moment whilst out the other night I asked for gin and tonic and I was given g'vine it's the best gin I have tasted, it has a lovely over all taste and before I go home I intend to buy some to take home
