It's a navy strength expression of Northmoor Gin! Crafted at the Exmoor Distillery, the recipe has been slightly tweaked, with 12 botanicals, in order to make the most of the higher 57% ABV.
Earthy, piney juniper, with warming spices, a herbaceous undertones and menthol, with sweet citrus oil appearing on the finish.

Was really looking forward to this when I bought it, heard so much about it. But alas totally let down, cinnamon overpowers the juniper, there is a musty almost musk taste that is constantly in the background. Citrus is pretty flat and doesn’t sing, I’m all a pretty dull gin for navy strength.
This gin really packs a punch! I adore gin, it has been my pre-dinner tipple of choice for many, many years. We love the classic Northmoor Gin so trying this was a very obvious choice. A very different flavour profile though equally “moreish”. One sip and you know it is strong but with not a hint of harshness, “smooth as a cashmere codpiece” as my husband would say (though to my knowledge he does not own one!). As with classic Northmoor, pair with a quality tonic, Mediterranean or Majorcan is our personal choice for navy strength! Perfection, one glass can change a bad day into a good one!
