Rock Rose Gin is made at the Dunnet Bay Distillery all the way up in Caithness, Scotland. This very northerly gin features an alluring botanical selection including locally harvested Rhodiola Rosea, Rowan Berries, Sea Buckthorn, Blaeberries, Verbena, Coriander Seed, Cardamom and Juniper from two different countries - Italy and Bulgaria. They use a traditional copper pot still, which of course has a name (it's Elizabeth).
Bright berries, followed by waves of soft florals (heather and rose), savoury maritime hints and lively juniper. Subtly creamy on the finish with vanilla.

I did enjoy this gin but felt that it was a bit overpowering in the alcohol fumes. Nice flavours but not as smooth as other Scottish Gins such as the Botanist
Had a glass of Rock Rose Gin last week at the Moonfish Café in Aberdeen, served with a twist of orange peel and a sprig of rosemary, superb.
I LOVED this gin! Tried it in a bar in Manchester, so very moreish and just lovely to enjoy. Would highly recommend, full of flavour.
I was like the other reviewer in that I didn't drink gin. Too many have put me off with there in your face perfume smell. Rock Rose is different. Light but full of wonderful flavours. Where were you 30 years ago?
I don't know much about gin, but I went to a gin bar recently and this was by far the best tasting. Open, complex, and beautiful flavor. Could drink it on its own but mixed it with some elder flower tonic which was lovely. I normally never drink gin, but I'll start for this.
