From the Welsh Dà Mhìle Distillery comes Seaweed Gin, which is made with a variation on their small batch gin, and then infused with seaweed from the Newquay coast for three weeks to impart a coastal character (and also imparts a very subtly green hue). Before it's bottled, Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin is triple filtered. It was designed to compliment seafood, which is rather interesting, so crack out the oysters!
Why not try a Dirty Dà Mhìle Seaweed Martini? Combine 1 part Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin, 2 parts Sweet Vermouth and 1 part Olive Juice in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an Olive. Seaweed Gin also makes a great G&T, try garnishing yours with kiwi.
Garden herbs - fennel and dill - lead the nose, and there’s a suggestion of mint. Touches of cardamon and pepper follow slowly, and then there’s a wave of coastal saltiness.
Pocket-tin spearmints burst to life, complemented by dashes of lemon juice and a spray of sea salt. The seaweed is obvious without overpowering the gin’s savoury juniper and peppery spice notes. Fragrant eucalyptus gives a slightly medicinal quality to round off a refined palate.
Incredibly refreshing, like how you would imagine a mermaid’s toothpaste to be. It’s so very smooth, with a lot going on.
Beautifully composed, managing to be sophisticated, fun and intriguing all at once.

Absolutely addictive and delicious
Try this gin in a bloody mary... thank me later!
Is very nice and you can taste the seaweed but is very dry. Cant have more than a couple.......without a glass of water!
I visited the distillery last year and tried some....this purchase will be my third bottle! I'm a complete convert to this, I drink with f.t Mediterranean tonic, smells of the seaside I can't get enough of it!
Disappointing although not undrinkable.
