From the Welsh Dà Mhìle Distillery comes Seaweed Gin, which is made with a variation on their small batch gin, and then infused with seaweed from the Newquay coast for three weeks to impart a coastal character (and also imparts a very subtly green hue). Before it's bottled, Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin is triple filtered. It was designed to compliment seafood, which is rather interesting, so crack out the oysters!
Why not try a Dirty Dà Mhìle Seaweed Martini? Combine 1 part Dà Mhìle Seaweed Gin, 2 parts Sweet Vermouth and 1 part Olive Juice in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an Olive. Seaweed Gin also makes a great G&T, try garnishing yours with kiwi.
Garden herbs - fennel and dill - lead the nose, and there’s a suggestion of mint. Touches of cardamon and pepper follow slowly, and then there’s a wave of coastal saltiness.
Pocket-tin spearmints burst to life, complemented by dashes of lemon juice and a spray of sea salt. The seaweed is obvious without overpowering the gin’s savoury juniper and peppery spice notes. Fragrant eucalyptus gives a slightly medicinal quality to round off a refined palate.
Incredibly refreshing, like how you would imagine a mermaid’s toothpaste to be. It’s so very smooth, with a lot going on.
Beautifully composed, managing to be sophisticated, fun and intriguing all at once.

One of the best & cleanest tasing gins with a definite hint of the sea & a little spice. Best with lots of ice & straight tonic.
Love this Gin goes amazing with Cucumber tonic water ! Really refreshing.
the best gin I have ever drunk
I have tasted a lot of gins and most of them taste the same. This one doesn't. It has a markedly unique tang to it and goes well with rosemary, lime and fever tree. Great to support a Welsh gin too. Da iawn.
I first tried this at a local gin tasting, where most of my group disliked it, but I loved it. At home, it works brilliantly with ice, straight tonic (schweppes for preference) and a lovely stoned (or pitted, if you don't like drugs) Queen olive. Salty, savoury and grown up. Makes other gins taste like alcopops. With this for mixing, and the gorgeous Gilt for a sipping gin, I'm well sorted!
