Amarula, which you may know best for its cream liqueur, has migrated into the world of gin! Made with a base of marula fruit spirit, along with a whole herd of botanicals, including grains of paradise and orange blossom, which are steeped in the spirit before being distilled, it's superb splashed into quality tonic. Amarula has told us that £1 for every litre sold goes towards the Amarula Trust, supporting elephant conservation efforts. Cheers to that!
Resinous juniper leads the charge, with sweet orange peel and blossom following, and a complex, creamy backbone.

Having tried Procera and been very impressed I thought I’d try this much cheaper African gin. Unfortunately not to my taste at all. Very fruity with an unusual and to me at least unpleasant odour. I wouldn’t recommend this gin but taste is such a personal thing it may be that others would enjoy.
