Each autumn Greensand Ridge press sweet apple juice from a surplus of quality apples (60% Gala and 40% Mairac for 2018's pressing). The brand collects from fruit growers in the Weald of Kent and Sussex. This juice is then fermented long and slow before the cider is distilled into new make apple spirit. The spirit is then matured in ex-bourbon barrels, resulting in delicious Greensand Ridge Apple Brandy!

Disappointing as the rum was ok (3.5stars). sorry I was expecting more and was disappointed but not for me.
I'm a big fan of Calvados and Applejack and it's great to see some top-notch apple brandy made in the UK, after all we make great cider in the UK so why not apple brandy? A clean and crisp spirit that is given a light, sweetness from the bourbon barrel - a delightful interplay that has a touch of toffee apple about it. Sublime!
